Perhaps attempting to tap into an under-represented market, EIZO -- a manufacturer of medical monitoring equipment -- has bucked the trend with its promotional pin-up calendar. EIZO explains: Whereas craftsmen are showered with pin-up-calendars at the end of every year, this kind of present is less popular among medics. EIZO breaks this taboo. This pin-up calendar shows absolutely every detail. They're not joking. Developed by ad agency BUTTER, the 12 images display models in a variety of poses, but instead of the typical beach setting we're confronted the characteristic nothingness of an X-ray film. We initially questioned whether these were real at all, as a full body X-ray would expose the girls involved to an unhealthy dose of radiation. A little further investigation provides the answer -- "Illustrator/CGI: Carsten Mainz". Still, it's a great marketing idea, and one that has attracted a huge amount of interest already.
